Merseyside may be hit by thundery showers today, according to the Met Office and BBC forecasts.
There is plenty of rain expected over the next couple of days and some of the showers could turn heavy and thundery. Today, on Monday, July 3, thunder is predicted from 11am onwards.
It will turn drier into the evening, however it will be a blustery day, with noticeably cooler temperatures. Tomorrow on Tuesday, the Met Office reports it will be another similar day, with rain that may be heavy at times.

It will however start to feel warmer with lighter winds than recent days, with a maximum temperature of 20C. The outlook for Wednesday to Friday is sunny spells and scattered showers.
It will be a changeable, mixture of conditions, which may be cool at times. However by the weekend it is set to turn drier and feel warmer.
The BBC forecast for tomorrow reads: "Tomorrow will start generally dry with sunshine. Patchy cloud will soon develop, along with scattered, some thundery showers. In the course of the afternoon, the showers will become more isolated."
While the outlook for the rest of the week is as follows: "A more settled day on Wednesday, with partly cloudy skies and just a few isolated light showers. Thursday will start bright but soon turn cloudy. There is the chance of a shower or two.
"It will turn brighter and drier late. Friday will start dry, but clouds and showers will soon drift in from the west. At this time there is uncertainty with the extent of the showers."
