The weather across Nottinghamshire is expected to be unsettled this week with bright spells, heavy showers and some thunder this week. Following a warm bank holiday weekend the weather will continue to have highs of 16C and 17C across the week, but it will be paired with more rain than sunshine.
According to the Met Office, today (Tuesday, May 9) will begin cloudy with patches of rain, but frequent showers will develop from mid morning. It is possible that the rain will get heavier later in the day with a risk of hail and thunder, with further showers expected throughout the week.
A yellow weather warning is also in place as heavy showers and thunderstorms likely to cause some disruption to travel. Driving conditions may be affected by the weather, as well as possible delays to public transport and flooding in some areas.
