Just hours after a cold but bright Saturday brought some much needed sunshine to the city of Leeds, the latest forecast update from the Met Office has revealed that temperatures are set to plummet overnight and may even bring some snow to higher ground across Yorkshire.
After a dry start for much of the county, scattered showers throughout the afternoon will be “occasionally wintry, especially over high ground”, reports the forecaster.
In Leeds however things are expected to stay dry, although temperatures will drop below freezing to an icy -1°C overnight.
