The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering Greater Manchester for the upcoming week.

The region will be hit 'persistent heavy rain' on Tuesday, January 10, according to forecasters. The warning is in place from 6am on Tuesday to 8pm and will affect much of the north west.

The yellow warning across the region is expected to bring delays to bus and train services, along with more traffic amid spray and flooding on roads. The Met Office has also warned that 'flooding of a few homes and business is likely', and there could be 'some interruption to power supplies and other services'.
