The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for heavy showers and thunderstorms for a large part of Wales. The warning is in place between 12pm and 7pm on Wednesday, June 21, and covers the south of the country.
The warning says: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to break out from late morning. Many places will miss these, but where they do occur, 20-30 mm rain may fall in 1-2 hours. Showers and thunderstorms will mostly die out by early evening." It comes just a day after a yellow weather warning for rain hit Wales on Tuesday.
Despite the downpours temperatures across Wales have remained warm and well over 20C and show no sign of cooling down with 25C forecast for parts of Wales this weekend.

The forecaster has warned that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. They also warned that some public transport may be affected, especially where flooding or lightning strikes occur and that buildings could be damaged.

The Met Office forecast for Wales:
Wednesday, June 21: "A bright morning with isolated fog patches quickly clearing. Scattered showers bubbling up in the afternoon, potentially heavy and thundery, but with sunshine in between. Warm with a light breeze. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
"Any showers easing to allow for some late evening sunny spells. Remaining dry overnight with clear intervals initially, though with some patchy mist and fog developing. A mild night. Minimum temperature 13 °C.
Thursday: "Any mist and fog lifting and breaking during the morning to leave sunny spells. Isolated showers bubbling up into the afternoon, mainly in the east. Feeling warmer than Wednesday. Maximum temperature 25 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Largely dry to end the week with hazy sunny and becoming windy especially around coasts. A chance of some rain or odd shower into the weekend.
