The Met Office has warned that gale force winds are forecasted for Edinburgh and Lothians.
While today, January 27, is set to be be a bright one for locals, wind speeds will pick up from Friday and through to Saturday.
This come after a yellow weather warning was issues in the Highlands and Orkney Islands for strong winds.

Further south of Scotland, residents might want to think about battening down the hatches as the gusts will pick up speed in the coming days.
For Friday, the Met Office forecast: "A dry start but thickening cloud brings rain and drizzle by late morning. Light southwesterly winds strengthening to strong through the afternoon. Mild. Maximum temperature 10 °C".
And for Sunday and Monday: "Rain clearing to leave a few showers on Saturday with strong to gale force northwesterly winds at first. Lighter winds on Sunday with further rain. Breezy with showers on Monday".
From 11am on Friday, starting at 29 miles per hour, wind gusts are expected to get stronger hour by hour until 4pm where they will continue sweeping through Edinburgh at 39 miles per hour until reaching 41 by 9pm.
The Met Office warn that the winds won't stop there.
As we go into Saturday early morning, by 3am gusts will have soared to 46 miles per hour until 6am.
Just as many will be waking up and starting their day in Edinburgh, residents should expect heavy blustery winds up to a staggering 52 miles per hour and then 54 by 9am along with light showers.
For those who decide to venture out in the morning, an umbrella might be useless in the showers and is destined to turn inside out in those gale force winds.
By 12pm, while they will still be strong, the winds will start to settle over the day. The Met Office forecasts that winds will die down to 46 miles per hour and then to 38 by 3pm, until sitting at a more comfortable 29 by the evening.
