A second yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued by the Met Office covering Bristol. The weather forecaster has put parts of the region under the severe warning which set to come into force on Wednesday and runs into Thursday.
The Met Office warns of difficult travel conditions, longer journey times on roads and railways, and possible injuries due to slips and falls. The forecast for the South West today (March 8) says sleet and snow is likely across southern England and south Wales.
It's set to be mostly sunny elsewhere but scattered snow and hail showers likely, especially along northern coasts of Scotland.

The Met Office forecasts sleet in parts of the city at around 8am with a maximum daytime temperature of 3C. Heavy snow is forecast in the city at 6pm and 7pm.
Sleet is forecast at 8pm and 9pm before light snow at 10pm.
What is the outlook for Thursday to Saturday across the South West?
Turning milder later in the week though staying unsettled with further rain at times and often rather windy, with some strong winds on Friday. A slight improvement on Saturday.
