While Friday the 13th is usually associated with bad luck, North East residents will see nothing of the sort when it comes to the weather tomorrow - with a relatively dry day and glimpses of sunshine predicted.
Weather experts at the Met Office estimate that it will be cloudy as the day begins and comes to an end, but the skies are set to look somewhat clear throughout the day, with sunny intervals greeting Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
However, Saturday's outlook is far more bleak - with familiar downpours from earlier in the week returning once more. Heavy rain is expected throughout the morning and early afternoon, but it's set to subside by 3pm - making way for cloudy but dry conditions.
The Met Office said: "Feeling colder, with strong winds and further showers affecting most areas. Some sunshine at times, particularly in the east, and most places dry by evening with lighter winds.
"Maximum temperature 6 °C."
