Met Office forecast for the final day of the On the Waterfront festival

It will be a largely dry afternoon as music fans look forward to the final day of the On the Waterfront festival.

Today is the final day of the festival which has seen the Pier Head transformed and thousands of people flood to see the likes of Jamie Webster and CamelPhat perform. The rain has not dampened the spirit of the festival-goers but today will provide sunnier weather.

From 10am until 1pm it will be overcast with a chance of sunshine and highs of 16 degrees. The good weather will hit its peak at 3pm until 4pm when the clouds are expected to clear with highs of 18 degrees. The temperature will then start to slowly drop before hitting a low of 15 degrees at 10pm according to the Met Office.

A post on the Met Office website said: "A largely dry day with sunny spells but some showers are also possible, these may be heavy at times. Another breezy day, particularly windy around coasts and over hills. Maximum temperature 20 °C".

On the Waterfront will open the gates at 2pm with gates closing at 5pm. Headline act The Coral will take to the stage at 7pm.
