Met Office forecast as Merseyside set to be hotter than Barcelona

The Met Office has predicted today will be the hottest day of the year so far in Liverpool.

Brighter conditions have finally arrived in the region after a gloomy February, which saw Merseyside battered by stormy weather. Liverpool will bask in the spring sunshine as the forecasting agency expect temperatures to reach nearly double the seasonal average.

The hour-by-hour forecast expects Liverpool to experience higher temperatures on Tuesday than holiday hotspots such as Barcelona. The Met Office predict temperatures to hit 16C, while the Catalonia destination will see highs of 13C.
