Ireland could see a dramatic temperature swing as the mercury could rise to a sweltering high twenties.
The weekend is set to be a scorcher with glorious sunshine and 25-degree weather, but an expert said warmer air could bring hotter temperatures next week. Weather Alerts Ireland said: "The weekend is looking very warm with temperatures up to 25 degrees and some very nice sunshine!
"After this, there is a split with the ECMWF model forecasting even warmer air to push up making temperatures rise into the high twenties. The GFS on the other hand is forecasting cooler air."
