Met Eireann has predicted that chilly conditions will continue for Dublin this weekend, while a weather expert has warned that we are looking at "uncertain" weather next week.
According to Met Eireann, it will be generally dry today with just a chance of an occasional shower. Some sunny spells will develop as well, and staying fairly cool with highs of just 6 to 9 degrees.
It will be chilly and cloudy with occasional showers likely. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees in light east to northeast breezes.

According to weather expert Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather, any forecast beyond Wednesday is "uncertain". He wrote on his Carlow Weather twitter page: "The joys of weather forecasting beyond 5 days! Latest weather model update from two main models and one keeps us in cold weather for next weekend, however latest ECM has milder air breaking through making the cold spell short."
"Treat any forecast beyond Wednesday as uncertain," he added. Mr O'Reilly also said this week that it is still "very uncertain" if snow will arrive in Ireland, and Mr O'Reilly previously blasted reports of a "beast from the east" hitting Ireland.
Here is Met Eireann's forecast for this week:
Sunday
Sunday will be a cold, breezy day with sunny spells and scattered showers spreading westwards. They will be most frequent over the eastern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees with moderate east to northeast breezes. Showers will continue overnight, with the longest clear spells in the west. A cold night with a touch of frost in lows of 0 to 4 degrees.
Monday
Monday will be mostly cloudy with further showers and possibly longer spells of rain in the east and south. The best of any bright or sunny spells will be in the west. A chilly day with highs of 5 to 8 degrees with light to moderate east or northeast winds.
Tuesday
Tuesday will continue cold with sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees with light to moderate northerly winds. Frost will develop on Tuesday night.
Further Outlook
Current indications are that it will stay very cold through the remainder of the working week with daytime temperatures reaching just the low to mid single digits, and potentially dipping a few degrees below freezing at night.
