Met Eireann has predicted that thunder could strike in Dublin this afternoon.
There will be heavy downpours in the capital starting from this afternoon, with temperature highs of 10 to 12 degrees. The morning will begin with sunny spells and just the occasional shower before more turbulent weather kicks in.
The showers will become frequent in the middle of the day, merging to long spells of rain. Met Eireann has also forecast gusty south to southwest winds, which will be strongest at the coast.
