Met Eireann pinpoints four days of glorious weather as Dublin to bask in warm spell

Met Eireann forecasters have predicted a run of four stunning days next week as temperatures will soar to 23C, with Dublin set to benefit from the warm spell.

While the rest of Europe has been experiencing record breaking heat with Spain recording over 40C at the weekend, parts of Ireland stayed in the low twenties.

However, the good weather may soon be on the way with Met Eireann forecasting temperatures as high as 23C in some areas on Monday with sunny spells and very little rain, and up until Friday the mercury will hit 21C or higher every day.

According to forecasters from Met Eireann, Monday will be a "largely dry day with spells of warm sunshine."

It will become cloudier in the northwest in the evening with some patchy drizzle developing near the coast, with highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees in light northwest or variable breezes.

Monday night will see cloud continue to build from the northwest with outbreaks of rain moving southeastwards over most of the country. A mild night with temperatures generally not falling into single digits in light northwesterly breezes.

On Tuesday, "scattered outbreaks" of rain are expected during the morning before gradually clearing southeastwards as the afternoon approaches.

Things will then brighten up with spells of sunshine and just a few showers. Highest temperatures of 21 degrees are expected and it’ll be warmest in the southeast, in light northwesterly breezes.

Wednesday will be another dry day for many areas with a mix of sunny spells and cloudy periods

Thursday will see a good deal of dry weather with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, with highest temperatures ranging from 17 to 23 degrees, warmest over south Leinster.

However, on Friday an unsettled front is predicted to move in from the Atlantic bringing rain and "unsettled" weather with showers ahead for next weekend.
