Wrap up warm, folks, as Met Eireann has issued another weather warning for Ireland.
Temperatures are set to drop to a teeth-chattering -5 degrees with the national forecaster warning of "severe" frost and ice. The low temperature/ice orange alert will be in place from 6pm tomorrow until 12pm on Thursday for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, Leitrim, and Roscommon.
A week-long nationwide yellow warning is valid until 12pm on Friday. The alert reads: "Remaining very cold through the week with widespread sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches.

"Some showers of hail, sleet and snow will occur, mainly near coasts. Accumulations at lower levels are expected to remain low. Freezing fog will occur at times, with winds remaining light over land."
Tonight will be "very cold" but will be generally dry and clear. But there is he chance of an isolated wintry shower near northwest coasts. Widespread frost and some ice patches will develop with lowest temperatures of -5 to -1 degrees, or locally lower, in light to moderate northeasterly winds.
A cold, dry, and sunny day is expected tomorrow with a chance of a few isolated wintry showers in the northwest and the highest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees in light to moderate north to northeast winds. The rest of the week will be extremely cold with widespread frost and ice.
Most areas will be dry and bright with just occasional wintry showers near coasts. Winds will remain generally light. Here is Met Eireann's forecast for the next few days:
Wednesday night: "Another very cold night with lowest temperatures of -6 to -1 degrees. Widespread frost and icy stretches developing. Remaining generally clear and dry in a light northerly breeze, though there will be isolated wintry showers in the north and northwest.
Thursday: "Dry for most with plenty of sunshine. There will be a few showers of rain and sleet in the north and northwest. Daytime temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees in a light northwesterly breeze.
Thursday night: "A few more wintry showers in the northwest but otherwise it will remain dry. Patches of freezing fog may develop with lowest temperatures of -7 to -2 degrees in a light westerly or variable breeze. Widespread frost and icy conditions will persist."
