Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow High Temperature warning for two provinces as Ireland is set to sizzle in temperatures of up to 29 degrees later this week.
The forecaster said Leinster and Munster would see "very warm or hot" conditions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with maximum temperatures generally of 27 to 29 degrees - daytime temperatures may not be as high in coastal areas due to sea breezes.
Conditions will remain warm at night, with temperatures generally staying above 15 degrees.

Met Eireann has warned that the rising heat may lead to heat stress, especially for the more vulnerable of the population, high solar UV index and risk of water related incidents.
The warning will come into effect at 12pm Thursday and will remain until 6am on Sunday.
Meanwhile, today will remain dry with widespread sunshine, becoming hazy at times.
Highest temperatures of 20 to 26 degrees, warmest in the south and east, in primarily light southwesterly or variable breezes.
Tonight will be dry and clear, with mist and fog developing in near calm or calm conditions. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees.
Tomorrow morning any lingering mist and fog will clear most areas, although some may linger again near coasts. Otherwise, it will be a very warm, dry and sunny day with light breezes.
Highest temperatures generally of 23 to 26 degrees but touching 27 degrees in a few localised parts of Leinster and Munster.
It will be a little cooler in coastal parts of the northwest with more moderate southwest to west breeze.
Dry and clear on Wednesday night with mist and fog again developing in mostly calm conditions. Mild with temperatures not falling below 9 to 14 degrees.
Thursday will see a hot, dry and sunny day with mostly light breezes.
Highest temperatures of 23 to 28 degrees, hottest in Leinster and Munster.
A very mild night with temperatures not falling below 10 to 15 degrees generally, staying above 16 or 17 degrees in places.
Continuing dry and clear with some coastal fog forming in light easterly or variable breezes.
Friday will also be a hot day with long spells of sunshine. It will be dry for most with just the odd stray shower possible.
Highest temperatures of 25 to 28 or 29 degrees in light easterly breezes. Staying very warm overnight with temperatures not falling below the mid to high teens.
Saturday and Sunday will be largely dry with good spells of sunshine and mostly light breezes over the weekend though there is a chance of thundery showers at times.
Continuing hot on Saturday with highest temperatures of 25 to 29 degrees before falling slightly with highs of 23 to 27 degrees on Sunday.
Nighttime temperatures won't fall below the mid to high teens.
Looking ahead to next week, current indications suggest that it will turn more unsettled early next week, with temperatures falling back closer to the average for the time of year.
