Ireland is set to see some dry and sunny conditions over the coming days as cloud cover breaks.
Met Eireann has forecast the east and southeast to see the best of conditions as temperatures reach highs of 21 degrees.
However, the sunny weather will break on Friday evening with a lot of uncertainty around what the bank holiday weekend will bring.

A forecaster said: “A lot of uncertainty around the weekend still. GFS wants a nice weekend with high pressure close by and mainly dry, but ECMWF has a little low spoiling things with shower and also warmer. Wait and see for now I’m afraid.”
However, early indications suggest that bright sunny weather may arrive just in time for the weekend as things clear up on Saturday following bursts of rain on Friday, reaching 23 degrees.
Meanwhile, this afternoon and evening will remain cloudy with mainly dry conditions, apart from isolated light showers.
Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, coolest in the northwest, in a light northwesterly or variable breeze.
Tonight will be dry for most as showers largely die out, with lowest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees in a light and variable breeze.
Tomorrow morning will be dry for most with sunny spells. During the afternoon and evening, cloud will build from the southwest, and scattered showers will develop. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in a light southeasterly or variable breeze.
Showers will clear early on Wednesday night, but more may develop in the southeast later, and there will be a mix of cloud and clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in a light easterly or variable breeze.
A mix of cloud and sunny spells will develop on Thursday, along with scattered showers, mainly in the east.
It will become drier and sunnier towards evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in a light easterly or variable breeze.
Dry with clear spells and patches of mist and fog overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in a light southeasterly or variable breeze.
Friday will be Mostly dry with sunny spells during the morning. However, cloud will build in the west and patches of light rain or drizzle will develop near the coast.
Cloud will increase across the rest of the country during the afternoon and evening, and rain will develop in the west and north, with some heavy bursts possible.
Highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees in a light to moderate south to southwest wind, fresh at times near the west and northwest coast.
The rain will move eastwards on Friday night, and showers will develop in the northwest towards morning.
It will be milder than recent nights, with temperatures staying above 14 to 17 degrees in a light to moderate southwesterly wind.
Quite cloudy with scattered showers on Saturday, although some sunny breaks are likely later in the afternoon and in the evening.
Highest temperatures ranging between 17 degrees in the northwest and 23 degrees in the southeast, in a light southwest to west or variable breeze.
