Met Eireann has forecast a lovely start to the week before the weather is set to take a turn for the worse.
Monday and Tuesday are both set to be dry days with some sunny spells and temperatures staying in the mid to high teens.
However, Wednesday will mark the beginning of a change in the weather as drizzle will begin to spread across Ireland with heavier rain setting in on Wednesday night.
The national forecaster said: "Rain is forecast to move across the country on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. Otherwise it will be quite settled, with most outbreaks of rain and drizzle occurring in the west and northwest. Temperatures will be near or above average."

Monday will be mostly cloudy but with a change of some sun breaking through at times. It will be largely dry, with just a slight chance of an isolated light shower or two. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18C.
Monday night will be mostly cloudy with patchy light rain and drizzle developing in the north and west. Mild with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12C.
Tuesday is expected to be will be largely cloudy and dry as well, however there will be outbreaks of light rain or drizzle in Ulster and Connacht. It will be mild and humid with highest temperatures of around 16 to 19C.
Most areas will stay dry on Tuesday night but there will be further outbreaks of light rain and drizzle in Connacht and Ulster with temperatures of 10 to 14C.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle in the west and north and patchy drizzle elsewhere. Despite the rain, it will stay mild with highest temperatures of 16 to 19C.
Wednesday night will be wet and breezy as rain moves eastwards across the country and lowest temperatures of 10 to 14C.
The rain will clear eastwards on Thursday morning and will be followed by mostly dry and sunny weather for the rest of the day. A few showers will develop in the west and northwest, mainly near the coast. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19C, warmest in the southeast.
Towards the weekend it is set to stay settled on Friday and Saturday but there is potential for wet and windy weather on Sunday.
