Met Eireann has warned of another few days of unsettled weather but a dramatic change is on the way.
Summer weather is set to return as high pressure will build next week bringing scorching temperatures and dry conditions, Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather confirmed. He said: "The only way is UP! Even more confidence on weather models this evening for high pressure next week and possibly warming up nicely too."
Today will start off dry with sunny spells but the afternoon will bring showers which will become heavier and more frequent through the evening. Temperatures will be around 17 or 18 degrees.
