Met Eireann’s latest forecast shows an unusual swing in conditions as Saturday brings dry weather and sunshine for many before a grim turn on Sunday - which is then followed by the arrival of a dominant high-pressure system.
The Irish weather experts have a status yellow rain warning in place from 2:00 am tonight until midnight on Sunday due to the arrival of “high amounts of rainfall may cause some disruption and spot flooding, with highest amounts in mountainous areas.”
Despite the glorious forecast today with temperatures hitting 22C in some counties, there is a small possibility of a few showers developing in the southwest during the afternoon.
