Met Eireann has issued a 'winter weather advisory' for the entire country with temperatures set to plummet and 'snow' on the way.
It is set to turn bitterly cold as an Arctic airflow brings freezing weather to Ireland. Temperatures at night are expected to drop to as low as -4C, or lower, with a wind chill factor making it feel even colder.
The national forecaster warned that snow, ice, sleet, and severe frosts are expected over the next few days.
