Met Eireann's long-range forecast indicates the possibility of some mid-month stormy weather with warnings a possibility.
The country woke up to desperate conditions on Friday morning with a warning in place for much of Connacht until this afternoon.
But that Atlantic front looks set to clear the way for a pleasant weekend, although there will still be the odd bit of rain.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers tomorrow, some of which may turn heavy. There is the chance of cloudier conditions developing in parts of the south and southwest along with outbreaks of rain during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in mainly light to moderate westerly winds, remaining blustery near coasts.
"Mainly dry on Sunday with sunny spells and isolated showers on northern coasts. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in a light westerly breeze."
Looking ahead to the month of October, from the 14th to the 20th there is the possibility for some very unsettled weather with the wind coming in from the Atlantic.
The forecaster said: "A more changeable and unsettled week is likely for Week 3 with a mainly westerly airflow signalled which would introduce fronts or low pressure systems towards Ireland from the Atlantic. Warnings can not be ruled out. There is a signal for normal to above normal rainfall, with highest totals likely in western and northwestern areas. Temperatures overall this week will likely be near average or slightly above."
