A Merseyside Police constable has been charged with multiple offences related to allegedly "abusing his position for sexual purposes".
PC Adam Hoyle, based at Lower Lane police station, will appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court next week after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) authorised criminal charges.
Hoyle faces four charges of misconduct in a public office, which the ECHO understands relates to three separate women. He also faces three charges of unauthorised access to computer material.

A statement from the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said: "We investigated the conduct of PC Adam Hoyle, 39, following allegations he had abused his position for a sexual purpose. On conclusion of our investigation, we passed a file to the Crown Prosecution Service which authorised charges."
Merseyside Police said it could not comment while court proceedings were ongoing.
Hoyle, whose address was listed with the courts as Cazneau Street where Merseyside Police HQ is based, is due before magistrates on Tuesday, November 29, for his first appearance.
