A man from Merseyside has been left with a serious injury to his eye after an assault in the Lake District.
The man in his 40s from Southport is believed to have been assaulted by a group of men on Ash Street, Bowness, Cumbria.
The assault took place around 12.20am on Wednesday, February 16.

Cumbria Police is now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident take place or captured it on dashcam or mobile phone footage.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 00.27 on the 16 February, to the report of an assault. The incident was reported as having occurred on Ash Street, Bowness, Cumbria and involving four or five men.
"A man in his 40’s from Southport, was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary with a serious injury to his eye.
"Officers attended the scene and carried out enquiries. No further descriptions were available for the other males involved.
