A person was reportedly hit by a train causing delays to a Merseyrail line.
Merseyrail announced it had received reports a person had been hit by a train at Aughton Park at around 11.40am today, Saturday, July 30. Merseyrail said services on the Ormskirk line running through this station may be cancelled or delayed.
Merseyrail said the 12.16pm to Liverpool Central will start at Walton at 12.28pm while the 11.34am Ormskirk to Liverpool Central train had terminated at Aughton Park. The train operator's most recent update said services have now resumed with slight delays
