Mercedes-Benz India on Monday launched the Mercedes-Maybach S 580e plug-in hybrid at Rs 3.35 crore, with only 30 units on offer at launch. The company said it is the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in the Maybach range in India.
The limousine pairs a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Combined output is 585 hp and 750 Nm, delivered through a 9G-TRONIC transmission. The engine makes 443 hp and 560 Nm, while the motor adds 160 hp and 480 Nm. The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
