Mobile phone footage captured two men fighting in the doorway of a well known city centre bar.
The film clip shows two men fighting outside the Slug and Lettuce on the corner of North John Street. The fight broke out when a customer was asked to leave the city centre bar, the owners said.
The fight was between a man in a blue t-shirt and much larger man dressed in dark clothing. The men were seen punching each other in the face and wrestling.

At one point the man in a blue t-shirt reached out to embrace his opponent. As the two men embraced the man in a blue t-shirt started to throw punches again.
The two men then collapsed in the doorway of the Slug and Lettuce, as members of the public intervened. The footage, shared on social media was filmed by a passenger in a taxi which stopped at the lights.
A spokesperson for Slug and Lettuce Liverpool told the ECHO that the incident happened two weeks ago when a customer was asked to leave the bar. The spokesperson said that police had viewed CCTV from the bar and decided to take no further action.
A spokesperson said: “This video footage relates to an incident that took place outside our venue two weeks ago. Following a guest being asked to leave our premises, the police were subsequently called. The police have since reviewed CCTV and no further action has been taken.”
