Members of the Republic of Ireland women's team have been filmed appearing to sing a pro-IRA song as they celebrated qualifying for the 2023 FIFA World Cup.
Vera Pauw's side put in a heroic effort to beat Scotland 1-0 at Hampden Park in Edinburgh on Tuesday night to become the first Irish side to qualify for a major women's tournament.
But in their celebrations, which naturally continued into the dressing room, a number of players were filmed appearing to sing a pro-IRA song with the lyrics 'Up the Ra'.

In the video being widely circulated on social media, a number of players appear to be singing and dancing to the Wolfe Tones song "Celtic Symphony".
It came after Donegal woman Amber Barrett came on as a substitute to fire her country into the finals in Australia and New Zealand next year with a 65th minute winner.
The FAI and the women's team manager Pauw have subsequently apologised for "any offence caused by a song sung by players in the Ireland dressing room".
In a statement released by the FAI, Pauw said: “We apologise from the bottom of our hearts to anyone who has been offended by the content of the post-match celebrations after we had just qualified for the World Cup.
"We will review this with the players and remind them of their responsibilities in this regard. I have spoken with players this morning and we are sorry collectively for any hurt caused, there can be no excuse for that.”
