A roller-coaster ride at the Melbourne Royal Show has been reopened two days after a woman was struck by the ride, suffering critical injuries.
Shylah Rodden, 26, was hit while trying to retrieve her phone from the ride's tracks, according to police.
The ride was shut down after Ms Rodden was injured about 5:45pm Sunday at the showgrounds at Ascot Vale.
On Tuesday, the Melbourne Royal Show said WorkSafe had deemed the ride safe to reopen.
"Following the tragic accident at the Rebel Coaster ride on Sunday afternoon at the Melbourne Royal Show, WorkSafe has finalised an inspection report advising that the ride is safe and may be reopened from today," the statement said.
The organisation said the safety and wellbeing of visitors continued to be its "number one priority".
"Strict safety protocols are upheld in line with Victorian WorkSafe regulations," the statement continued.
"All rides on site have undergone stringent compliance inspections and have passed all the required safety documentation."
