NEW DELHI: Josie Dooley, the talented wicketkeeper-batter for the Melbourne Renegades and South Australia, is currently receiving treatment in Brisbane after suffering a stroke while vacationing in Hawaii.
The 24-year-old athlete was visiting the picturesque island of Kauai in April when she was suddenly struck by a stroke. The stroke was attributed to hydrocephalus, a serious condition characterized by an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain. The severity of her condition necessitated an emergency airlift to Honolulu for critical neurosurgical intervention.
