Married At First Sight Australia and UK's dating and relationship coach and expert Mel Schilling appeared on ITV1's This Morning on Monday, May 1, to take part in a segment which saw callers ringing in, seeking her advice on love. But before diving into calls, hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary couldn't help but enquire after the next season of the programme's British spin off.
The show sees strangers 'marrying' in an non legally-binding ceremony after being matched by data and then they are put through a series of challenges to test the strength of their connection and new relationship.
Revealing that the UK series is currently being filmed, Mel unfortunately couldn't tell viewers much of what we can expect but teased that it is on a 'different level'.

After Alison asked: "What about the UK version? Is that coming back?" Mel responded: "Yes. We are filming it right now." "How's it going?" Alison queried, to which Mel said with glee: "Incredible! I cannot say anything yet. It's incredible. It's a different level."
Dermot then asked why she thought we Brits love the Australian version so much and why it's the 'biggest [series] in the world'. "I think, for Brits, the fact that our season 6 played here during the lockdown was an incredible experience. So many people say to me 'Your show got me through lockdown'. And people became very invested."
And when the UK version returned last year, viewers were completely hooked. The seventh series of the show aired last August on E4 and viewers were in bits over the drama that unfolded as couples broke up, raged at dinner parties and even swapped partners. Perhaps the most controversial moment from the previous UK series was when Matt and Whitney, who had an affair behind closed doors and eventually recoupled with each other. Read more on that here.
While we aren't aware of the exact date it will return, it'll most likely be at the end of the summer and if the latest Australian version is anything to go by, it'll be a rollercoaster of emotions - and we can't wait.
Married At First Sight Australia continues on E4 on Monday, May 1 at 7.30pm.
