Spice Girl Mel B has reportedly got engaged to her beau Rory McPhee and is said to have been blown away by his romantic proposal.
The 47-year-old singer known also known as Scary Spice was claimed to have been whisked off for a swanky stay in Berkshire when Rory pulled out a £100,000 ring on Wednesday.
The pair have been together for around four years and Mel is said to have been "overwhelmed" by the proposal from her man.
So, as the pair appear to be smitten with each other, let's take a look back at where it all began.
First dates
Mel has reportedly known Rory for years as they are from the same home town of Leeds. They first got to know each other as Rory is best friends with Mel's cousin, Christian Cooke.
But, as Mel has publicly stated in the past, she'd had a tough time trusting men after she ended her decade-long second marriage to Stephen Belafonte, claiming the relationship was abusive. Stephen has always has denied her claims.
Rory helped her restore her trust in men, according to a source close to her. The couple are thought to have been dating since 2018 when they met up through friends in Los Angeles, including celebrity make-up artist Renee Camilleri.
However, their relationship became more serious the following year when Mel returned to the UK for the Spice Girls reunion tour.
The pair went official with their relationship while attending a wedding together in autumn 2019.
Down to earth
Unlike her global star status, Rory is described as being a "down-to-earth guy" who isn't interested in the limelight.
The match is in stark contrast to Mel's first husband, dancer Jimmy Gulzar, with whom she shares eldest daughter Phoenix, who is now 23.
Mel also has 15-year-old daughter Angel with actor Eddie Murphy and 11-year-old Madison with ex-husband Stephen.
A source told The Sun Rory has worked "incredibly hard" to build his own business.
The latest engagement is a huge step for Mel, after she has spent the last decade trying to overcome the trauma of domestic abuse, with the star often struggling to trust people.
However, Rory has proven that men "can be caring, trustworthy and reliable", with the relationship continuing to go from strength to strength.
Styling the stars
Rory has built his own hairdressing business in Leeds from the ground up and is now playing a big role in Mel appearing incredibly styled on her social media.
At the age of 36, Rory is 13 years her junior and he splits his time between London and Leeds. He is a co-founder of Rory James hair salon where he also holds the position of art director.
A glance at his Instagram shows he's been touring with Redken, which comes under the L'Oreal brand.
He is also happy hanging out with her styling team and even headed down under when Mel appeared on The Masked Singer.
Wedding bells
The rumour mill teased that things were getting more serious when the loved-up couple were spotted walking their dogs in Leeds together in August last year.
A source told The Sun recently that Rory has restored her trust in men, saying: "Mel is so happy and this is such a big deal for her because she has been though such a lot."
Her new man is said to have splashed the cash on a dazzling £100,000 ring when he asked her to be his wife, which was a pear shape champagne-coloured diamond set in a rose gold band.
