Following her divorce from Stephen Belafonte in 2017, Brown opened up about feeling powerless and the financial toll the divorce took on her. Brown filed for divorce in March 2017 after 10 years of marriage, alleging abuse from Belafonte, which he denied. The divorce was finalized in December 2017 with Brown agreeing to pay child support and spousal support to Belafonte.
Since relocating to Leeds, Brown has found love again and got engaged to hairstylist Rory McPhee. The couple announced their engagement in October 2022 and are planning to marry at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Brown has also hinted at a possible Spice Girls reunion, confirming that all five members are planning something exciting.
Throughout her journey, Brown has been vocal about her experiences in her 2018 memoir 'Brutally Honest' and has used her platform to raise awareness about domestic violence.
