Meghan Markle has been spotted for the first time since the news broke that she would be skipping the King's Coronation next month.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared via video link introducing a Ted Talk by her long-time pal and photographer Misan Harriman who has snapped many pics in the past of Prince Harry, Meghan and their family, the Mirror reports.
It was also Meghan's first appearance since reports surfaced that she had written a personal letter to King Charles over her concerns of alleged racism within the Royal Family.
Meghan reportedly sent the note in the wake of the couple's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey where she claimed comments had been made by the royals regarding the colour of their unborn son Archie's skin.
Introducing the Ted Talk yesterday, Meghan emerged after Misan posted an image on Instagram of Meghan smiling on the big screen as she spoke. He wrote: "The Duchess of Sussex was kind enough to introduce me unto the stage for my @ted Thank you for the support Meg."
Meghan can be seen with her sleek, straight hair falling over her shoulders while wearing a white top.
Introducing her friend Misan, she praised the photographer's 'unmatched eye for a good photograph', adding: "I've experienced his talent first hand as he has captured many meaningful milestones for me and my family.
"And I know there are many others who share this experience. I am so thrilled to welcome to the TED stage, my dear friend Misan Harriman."
Misan snapped the sweet pictures of Harry, Meghan and Archie, where the Duchess announced she was pregnant with their daughter Lilibet. He also took the picture of the young princess that was released to mark her first birthday.
The clip of Meghan was possibly filmed at her home in Montecito, California where she will remain on the day of the Coronation on May 6 with her children. Meghan is believed to be skipping the event as the Coronation falls on the same day as Archie's fourth birthday.
Prince Harry however, will be attending the historic event to support his father which will be the first time he has come face to face with his family since his controversial memoir, Spare was released.
Meghan's onscreen appearance also comes after it was recently reported that the Duchess had addressed her concerns of racism among the royals to Charles in the form of a letter.
In the bombshell Oprah interview in 2021, Meghan claimed a member of the Royal Family had speculated how dark Archie's skin would be before he was born. The paper reports that Meghan's letter was sent in response to a letter from Charles, in which he expressed his sorrow over the split in the family.
The letters also reportedly make clear which senior royal made the comment, with both Meghan and Charles acknowledging that the remark was not made in a malicious way, according to the paper.
Since the Oprah Winfrey interview, Harry has since denied that the couple accused members of the royal family of being racist towards his family. During an interview with Tom Bradby on ITV in January to promote his memoir, the presenter said: "In the Oprah interview you accused members of your family of racism".
To which Harry responded by saying "no I didn’t", adding "the British press said that". Bradby argued that Meghan had claimed that some troubling comments were made about Archie's skin colour.
Harry said: "There was – there was concern about his skin colour." When asked if he would describe that as racist, the Duke said: "I wouldn't, not having lived within that family."
He continued: "The difference between racism and unconscious bias, the two things are different."
"But once it's been acknowledged, or pointed out to you as an individual, or as an institution, that you have unconscious bias, you therefore have an opportunity to learn and grow from that in order so that you are part of the solution rather than part of the problem."
