When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first son back in 2019, fans were left scratching their heads when his birth certificate was released.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on 6th May 2019, and was the first born of the couple who tied the knot the year prior.
But as all birth certificates are public records, it was released later that month.
Revealed in the document were details of the location and time of his birth as well as some interesting facts about the new parents, like Meghan's official job title.
The document states that Meghan's job title is "Princess of the United Kingdom" - and many fans were confused as Meghan's official title is Duchess.
While she was given the title the Duchess of Sussex by the Queen on her wedding day, she is also technically a princess, just not in her own name.
She is Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales through her husband, Harry.
Under the job section part of the form on Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis's birth certificates, she is also listed as a princess.
Some fans were also surprised to see her name was listed as Rachel Meghan under the 'mother's name' section as many people did not realise this is her real name.
Her parents Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland have called her Meghan since birth, and all of her friends use it rather than Rachel.
But just a few months later, it emerged that Meghan and Harry had changed the 'mother's name' section of the document to say 'Duchess of Sussex.'
A statement released to the media said: "The change of name on public documents in 2019 was dictated by The Palace, as confirmed by documents from senior Palace officials. This was not requested by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex nor by The Duke of Sussex.
“To see this UK tabloid and their carnival of so-called ‘experts’ choose to deceptively whip this into a calculated family ‘snub’ and suggest that she would oddly want to be nameless on her child’s birth certificate, or any other legal document would be laughable were it not offensive.
"There’s a lot going on in the world; let’s focus on that rather than creating clickbait."
Meghan did not use her royal title on the birth certificate of her daughter Lilibet Diana, who was born in June 2021.
TMZ obtained a published copy of Lilibet's birth certificate, revealing that Meghan gave her birth name Rachel Meghan Markle.
