Meghan Markle hasn't been in touch with her father Thomas Markle since he had his stroke, her half brother has claimed.
Piers Morgan hosted a special episode of his show tonight after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary with Netflix dropped earlier today.
During his show, he slammed the pair and claimed they were "stoking sympathy" with their series and said it was a "reality show" rather than a documentary as he hit out at the pair.
Thomas Markle Jr appeared on TalkTV with Piers tonight, as he also hit out at the pair over the programme. He said his father did not join the rest of the family to watch it but he had "really wanted to be there".
Giving an update on his father, he said: "Dad is doing very well, making a lot of progress, he's in good spirits. Sometimes he doesn't feel that comfortable to actually make a live appearance, but he's doing very well.
"His speech is definitely coming back. We're making a lot of progress with the speech therapy and for the most part, it's pretty normal. It just goes off after a few moments but comes back. So he's doing very well."
He added: "I'm just very happy that I could be here every day for him since this happened about six months ago."
Thomas Markle Jr also claimed Meghan had not reached out to contact her father since he suffered a stroke.
Asked if there was any contact from Meghan, Thomas said: "None whatsoever... It's just very bizarre how she just basically brushed the entire family under the carpet like we don’t exist, and then lied about not having a family... we've always been here."
The Mirror have approached Meghan's representatives for comment.
It comes after his daughter Samantha Markle revealed their father Thomas Markle is unable to speak and will have to learn again after his health scare. Speaking in May, she revealed he is doing better but has a long road of recovery to go yet.
She urged her half-sister Meghan to get back in touch with her father, adding: "I think he feels blessed to be alive and he's doing well, he's really doing well.
"He can't speak but his language comprehension is perfect, he understands and he can text and communicate that way. He's feeling better every day, so all things considering, two heart attacks, a pandemic and all this, he's coping well."
