Meghan Markle photo spotted in pride of place in Charles and Camilla's home

Eagle-eyed royal fans have spotted a touching photo of Meghan Markle that has pride of place in Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall's home.

Yesterday, Camilla welcomed three female rowers, who crossed the Atlantic in record time, to Clarence House - the London home she shares with Charles - to mark International Women's Day.

They were joined by former male rower Tim Christian and were pictured chatting with Camilla in a sitting room at the royal residence.

Behind where the guests were sitting, royal fans noticed a side table that was filled with lovely family photos.

And one of them included a stunning black-and-white image of Meghan with Charles on her wedding day in 2018.

When Meghan married Harry, Charles escorted the bride halfway down the aisle of St George's Chapel in Windsor - and the framed photo appears to depict this.

Other framed pictures on the side table appear to be one of Prince Harry at the Invictus Games, an adorable photo of Charles holding Prince George at his christening in 2013 and a family shot taken at Prince Louis' christening in 2018.

Earlier this week a new book claimed Meghan showed she was "confident and independent" and certainly not a "blushing bride" on her wedding day.

With her father unable to attend the wedding, Charles offered to walk her down the aisle of St George’s Chapel.

Her reply was not quite what he expected: "Can we meet halfway?", she asked, according to a new biography of The Queen by Robert Hardman, serialised in the Daily Mail.

The response "was an indicator that this was no blushing bride, but a confident, independent woman determined to make a grand entrance on her own", the author notes.

Meghan has yet to return to the UK since she and Harry quit as senior royals in early 2020, and son Archie has also not been back for a visit.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan's baby daughter Lilibet has never been to the UK or met her grandfather Charles or great-grandmother the Queen.

Earlier this year, Charles is said to have offered an olive branch to his son by inviting him and his family to stay with him on their next trip over from America.

He has expressed his firm wish to spend quality time with his grandchildren in an attempt to heal the rift between him and his son.

Royal sources confirmed the Prince of Wales has held several “good-natured and enjoyable” video calls with his son, Meghan and the children during the past few months.

One source said: “The Prince of Wales has been saddened that he hasn’t had the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, which he really does miss.

“He is a fantastic grandfather and loves playing the role immensely and it’s certainly fair to say he feels there is something missing from his life without the ability to get to know Harry’s children."
