The conflict began because of Markle’s supposed requests for an unusual level of control over a potential September 2022 Vogue cover.
The original plan involved a large feature in British Vogue centered around Markle’s keynote speech at the One Young World Summit in Manchester. This partnership was supposed to include extensive coverage in both the print and digital versions of the magazine. However, the collaboration quickly grew into something much bigger than just a feature.
