Meghan Markle cuddles daughter Princess Lilibet during family day out in adorable video

Meghan Markle has been spotted cuddling two-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet during a fun family day out in California.

The sweet mother-daughter moment came as they along with Prince Harry and Prince Archie attended a Fourth of July parade close to their home in California. The adorable short clip of the pair was captured from one of the vehicles taking part in the parade and shared on social media.

In the clip, Meghan can be seen looking relaxed in linen trousers and sunglasses as she crouches down next to Lilibet as they watch the passing parade. Lilibet, who wears a pretty floral dress, long socks and red buckle shoes, can be seen waving flags in each hand.

Harry also has a very fleeting appearance in the video, and can be spotted waving to the passing vehicles and performers as he chats to some other adults enjoying the American holiday. Although Archie isn't seen in the video, it is believed he also joined his parents and younger sister for the outing.

It emerged that the Sussexes had enjoyed the rare day out as a family of four last week, when pictures emerged of Harry carrying Lilibet at the parade, just hours before his father King Charles' Scottish Coronation.

Harry, 38, relocated to California with his wife Meghan Markle, 41, and their family in 2020, after having briefly lived in Canada and before that the UK. He's commemorated Independence Day stateside in the years since having moved abroad with his wife and it appears that this year was no different for the family.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail show Prince Harry in a green shirt and a pair of jeans at the parade, which he accompanied with a baseball cap and some sunglasses. He was seen carrying Lilibet in his arms while at the event, with his daughter having worn a patterned blue dress, white socks and a pair of red shoes for the occasion.

The parade that the family attended this week is said to have featured vintage vehicles - which had been decorated with the national flag - passing through the streets. The fun day out came ahead of King Charles attending a service in Edinburgh last week alongside Queen Camilla to celebrate his Coronation and accession to the throne - which Harry and Meghan did not attend.

The couple - whose official Coronation was held at Westminster Abbey back in May - were honoured at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh last Wednesday - and Charles was presented with Scotland's crown jewels - known as the Honours of Scotland - during what has been referred to as a "service of thanksgiving and dedication".

Among those who were in attendance at the coronation ceremony in Edinburgh were the monarch's eldest son and daughter-in-law the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are known to have a tricky relationship with Harry and Meghan.
