Meghan Markle was determined to have a good time during her birthday celebrations - and there are few better ways to celebrate than with a silly tiara.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a holographic paper tiara with the words “Happy Birthday” atop her head for her 45th birthday as she danced in her pyjamas at her and Prince Harry’s Montecito home.
In a video shared to her Instagram Stories, taken by the Duke of Sussex, Meghan is seen boogying to music in the background.
Harry can be heard chuckling and saying, “Oh dear” as he watched his wife dance in an oversized T-shirt with the words “It’s giving Mrs” on the front, loose white pyjama bottoms and no shoes in their kitchen.
On one of their kitchen counters sits a display of birthday balloons, with several bouquets of flowers dotted around the room.
Harry then pans the camera towards the breakfast he is cooking for the occasion.
The Duchess, whose lifestyle series on Netflix, With Love, Meghan, was recently nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, also shared two new photographs on her social media to mark her birthday.
She posted playful black-and-white photos of herself jumping into her swimming pool while holding a large bunch of balloons.
Writing in the caption, she said: “Thank you for the birthday love!”
Meghan turned 45 on Tuesday August 4, shortly after returning home to California following a rare trip to the UK with their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lillibet, five.
The Sussex family reunited with King Charles III on Sunday July 10, which marked the first time the monarch saw Meghan and his two grandchildren in four years.
Their UK trip also included a visit to the late Diana, Princess of Wales’s childhood home and final resting place, Althorp House in Northamptonshire.
The visit was the first time Archie and Lilibet went to to their grandmother's burial site, which is located on an island in the grounds of the estate.
Meghan shared a few snaps from their summer holiday on her Instagram, including pictures taken during their time in the UK and Europe, as well as back home in the US.
In the photos, the family is pictured on the beachfront of a mystery holiday location, with Prince Harry splashing around in the sea with the children, while Meghan looks on from the sand.
One black-and-white photo in the post show Harry throwing Lillibet high up in the air in the swimming pool.
Another shows Archie sitting in the cockpit of a plane, wearing a service hat and surrounded by pilots showing him the ropes.

It appeared to hint that Archie may be interested in following his royal family footsteps in learning to fly. The King trained and qualified as both an RAF jet pilot and a Royal Navy helicopter pilot during the 1970s, while Prince William served as a full‑time pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance from 2015 to 2017.
Harry’s path to learning how to fly was slightly less straightforward. He initially failed his pilot's theory test in 2009, then two years later was transferred to a military base in California to complete his helicopter gunship training.
Later that same year, he went to Wattisham Airfield in Suffolk to complete his training to fly Apache helicopters and in 2013, the Ministry of Defence announced that he successfully qualified as an Apache aircraft commander.
