It's been suggested that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have "given away too much, too soon" - amid the claim that she plans to come out on top after recent events.
Meghan, 41, and Prince Harry, 38, have pursued a number of opportunities in the spotlight in recent years, including appearing in their own Netflix docuseries just last year.
The Harry & Meghan series, which launched in December, is just one of their projects over the last year, with it followed up by his memoir Spare, which came out in January.
It has now been suggested that they may have given away "too much, too soon" and that they may want to reconsider their brand as they move forward with their careers.
Closer magazine reports that some people believe they need to "rethink" their personal brand, noting that some of their biggest projects relate to them airing grievances about the monarchy.
The outlet said it seems like they "may have given away too much, too soon," adding the couple risk losing more supporters as the popularity of Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly rises.
It also mentioned some negative reaction they have attracted in recent months, with a source commenting on Meghan's approach to the situation.
Sir Trevor Phillips suggested on Piers Morgan Uncensored last week, for example, that they "squandered" the opportunity to promote diversity while in the Royal Family.
There's also been comments over them parting ways with Spotify, with Jeremy Zimmer, the CEO of United Talent Agency, - having reacted whilst speaking to Semafor.
He said: "Turns out [Meghan] was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent. And, you know, just because you're famous doesn't make you great at something".
Closer reports that Meghan was "distraught" by some recent commentary but that following the initial shock she's now determined to "fight her way back to the top".
A source told the outlet that the "latest slew of attacks" against the couple come in the wake of Meghan and Prince Harry being deemed not relevant nor hard working.
It was added that it's been "humiliating" dealing with criticism in public, but Meghan is said to believe they owe it to themselves to "fight back and make a success of things".
The source said that she has told her team that the new plan "simply can't fail," no matter the cost and however "challenging" it may be.
One option that's said to have been presented to the couple is that they sit back for about a year and invest their money to ensure financial security, according to the source.
However, the source said this isn't something Meghan would do, adding: "She feels the best revenge is to come out on top and prove the haters wrong in a spectacular style."
Closer adds that they have further attracted negative attention over leaving Frogmore Cottage, having reportedly been evicted in the wake of his memoir Spare.
Further commenting on Meghan's approach to their new life in the showbiz world, the source said that it "feels like a war zone" at times but she is "excited" for the future.
