In the spirit of love and celebration, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet another special Valentine's Day planned. This year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are headed to Canada to participate in the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025's One Year to Go celebrations.

Taking place in Vancouver and Whistler, the couple's chosen destination holds significance for Harry and Meghan. Not only is it in close proximity to their current residence in Montecito, California, but it also holds cherished memories. Prior to their decision to step back from their royal duties in 2020, the couple spent their first holiday season as a family on Vancouver Island in 2019, accompanied by their son, Prince Archie.

Valentine's Day has always held a special place in Meghan's heart, as she expressed on her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig. In 2015, she confessed, 'Hook, line, and sinker, I am such a sucker for Valentine's Day.' She understood the significance of self-love, particularly on this day, stating, 'I think you need to be your own Valentine.'

Meghan previously expressed her love for Valentine's Day on her lifestyle blog.

Meghan shared an anecdote from her days on the television show 'Suits,' where her co-stars Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres imparted their wisdom and reminded her of the importance of self-care. They taught her to be kind to herself and treat herself with the same love and respect she bestows upon others. Their affectionate gesture resonated deeply with her, as she admitted, 'They were protecting me from myself, from my own criticism, and my own self-doubt. They were reminding me to treat myself as well as I treat those closest to me. To be my own valentine.'

For Meghan, Valentine's Day was a time not only for romance but for celebrating friendship as well. In one of her blog posts, she described her plans to spend the day with friends in New York, exploring the city and indulging in pink cocktails. She emphasized the importance of self-love and treating oneself to something special as a reward for hard work and personal growth.

Last year, the couple had extra reason to celebrate Valentine's Day. They announced Meghan's pregnancy with their second child through a beautiful black-and-white photo. The image captured Meghan lying in the grass with her head in Harry's lap, cradling a noticeable baby bump. As news spread, their representative confirmed the joyous news, stating, 'The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.'

In their highly anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired a month later, the couple revealed the gender of their unborn child—a baby girl. The world awaited the arrival of Princess Lilibet, who was born in June.

Valentine's Day has always been a day of love, reflection, and celebration for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Whether it's embracing self-love or sharing exciting news with the world, they continue to show their adoration for each other and their growing family.
