Krem Puri, located in the Siju-Rewak area of South Garo Hills, was mapped by the Meghalaya Adventurers Association and a team of international cavers in 2018 and measured at 24.583 kilometres, making it the longest sandstone cave in the world. Not the longest in India. The longest sandstone cave on the planet. The record was verified and logged, a quiet geological bombshell that received almost no national coverage outside specialist publications.
