Rapper Megan Thee Stallion recently revealed her newfound love for the iconic TV series Sex and the City. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 29-year-old artist expressed her excitement about watching the show for the first time and even joked about writing a letter if her favorite character, Samantha, is not brought back.
Sex and the City, which premiered in 1998, follows the lives of four friends living in New York City as they navigate relationships and careers. The main characters include Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Samantha Jones portrayed by Kim Cattrall, Miranda Hobbes played by Cynthia Nixon, and Charlotte York portrayed by Kristin Davis.
The franchise expanded with two films and a prequel TV series called The Carrie Diaries. In 2021, the sequel series And Just Like That premiered, with the third season currently in production.
Rumors of a feud between Cattrall and Parker have circulated for years, but Cattrall made a cameo in the season 2 finale. Despite fan hopes for her return in season 3, Cattrall recently denied any involvement in the spinoff.
While details of And Just Like That season 3 have been kept under wraps, fake filming notices in New York City have sparked curiosity. The notices suggest bizarre plotlines involving characters from other popular shows and movies.
And Just Like That season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Max in 2025. Megan Thee Stallion, who partnered with Amazon for Prime Day, shared her favorite beauty, fashion, and accessories picks on her Amazon storefront.
