Actress and model Megan Fox has revealed that she bought books written by transgender children for her nine-year old son Noah - after he expressed a desire to wear dresses.
The 35-year old, who appears on the cover of Glamour UK 's April 2022 issue, claimed she encourages her children to express themselves through clothing 'however they want' regardless of sexuality.
Noah is one of three kids Megan shares with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green, along with Bodhi, eight, and Journey, five.
The pair were married for 11 years between 2010 and 2021 before Fox got together with rapper, Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, 32.
Megan told the magazine : "I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is.
"Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want. And that doesn't even have to have anything to do with your sexuality.
"So from the time they were very young, I've incorporated those things into their daily lives so that nobody feels like they are weird or strange or different."
She went on to admit that she 'worries' about Noah's 'suffering', but added that he is 'so brave'.
"I do have a child that suffers," she said. "So I have a lot of worries about that, because I just wish that humanity was not like this.
"Although my kid is so brave and my child is so brave and I know that they've chosen this journey for a reason. It's just hard as a mom."
It's not the first time the Transformers star has discussed Noah's life. She has spoken candidly about how he has been picked on by fellow pupils at his school for wearing dresses.
Despite such taunts, however, Megan has always encouraged him to follow his own path.
"I'm trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says," she said.
"He came home and I was like, 'How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?' And he was like, 'Well, all the boys laughed when I came in,' but he's like, 'I don't care, I love dresses too much.''
Dad Green, 48, an actor and producer has also been supportive of his son. Speaking in 2017 he said: "I've heard from some people that they don't agree with him wearing dresses. To them I say, I don't care. He's four and if he wants to wear it then he wears it.
" And it's dresses or goggles or slippers or whatever. It's his life, they're not my clothes. I feel like at four at five, that's a time when he should be having fun. He's not harming anyone wearing a dress. So if he wants to wear a dress, good on him."
