Mega Millions: at least one ticket holder won $1.28bn jackpot, lottery says

A single ticket in Illinois has the winning numbers for one of the biggest lottery prizes in recent US history meaning that for at least one lucky person the dream of netting the billion-dollar-plus prize has turned into a reality.

The Mega Millions lottery ended up worth $1.28bn and Friday night’s winning numbers were: 13-36-45-57-67, Mega Ball: 14.
