Meet the UK's super dogs – from a life-saving mastiff cross, to a poodle which can surf. The talented hounds have been brought together to celebrate the remarkable relationships that dogs have with their owners.
They include mastiff/Staffordshire bull terrier cross Louie, who alerted his owner to cancer, and a Yorkshire Terrier which “sniffed out” its owner’s sepsis. The trio emerged from a study of 2,000 dog owners, commissioned by vitamin brand SuperDog from Vitabiotics, which found 71 per cent consider their pet to be a hero.
