Meet Rimac's Rarest Hypercar Yet

The 10 lucky individuals who paid who-knows-how much for the Rimac Nevera R Founder’s Edition are getting a whole lot more than just the car. The limited-run model includes an assortment of exclusive perks and experiences for these Founder’s Club members that even grants them facetime with Mate Rimac himself, and that’s just the start

Mate said he wanted to find a way to thank those people who believed in his vision and helped the company become what it is today, inviting the 10 "to experience our world in a completely new way. Not only through a remarkable car, but through a deeper connection to what makes Rimac unlike anything else."

Each of the 10 will receive a company card that grants “direct access” to the Bugatti Rimac headquarters. They will also receive priority invites to product reviews and invitations to the company’s record-breaking runs. That’s on top of being involved in the company’s strategy decisions with Mate and his team.

The owners will also be able to influence and provide input on the brand’s future cars. Oh, the perils of being poor.

Rimac will allow each customer to personalize their Nevera R, although each car has a baseline spec that features a two-tone color scheme dictated by the car’s styling. It also includes asymmetrical seat upholstery that matches Mate’s personalized EV.

The process begins with the buyer sitting down with Mate and design chief Frank Heyl to configure the car. Buyers pick from a range of hand-stitched interiors, unique liveries, and a variety of colors, materials, and finishes.

Once the car is complete, Mate will personally deliver each and support the driver's training. Yes, each Founder's Club member will receive special training from Rimac’s professional testing team, and Mate will assist.

While the Nevera R is an electric vehicle, it’s like nothing else on the market today. It has four electric motors that deliver 2,107 horsepower. The car can hit 60 miles per hour in 1.66 seconds and can reach a top speed of 268.2 miles per hour. This year alone, the car earned 24 verified performance records.

Rimac announced the Nevera R Founder's Edition to its clients earlier this year—it allocated all 10 within a week. And we thought high-end buyers didn't want electric hypercars
