NEW DELHI: When it comes to the world of green baize – the cue sport – people in India generally associate the sport with the much-celebrated Geet Sethi, Pankaj Advani, Yasin Merchant, Aditya Mehta and Alok Kumar, among others. Generations passionate about the game have grown up watching them stamp their authority on the pool table with effortless ease, dedication and commitment.
But, then there are young cueists like Rayaan Neville Razmi and Ranveer Duggal, who are equally making the heads turn with their amazing cue sport skills and acumen in the junior circuit. Both are seen as India’s big medal hopes at the Doha Asian Games in 2030, where the sport will make its return after being on the sidelines for 20 years.
