Riot has been teasing that an evil, all-powerful force will arrive in League of Legends soon. At long last, we get to meet the big bad.
Empress Bel’Veth is officially the latest champion in League of Legends. The so-called “God of Oblivion” hails from Runeterra’s void, where she rules with the cruelest fist. Like an even meaner (and more purple) version of Maleficent.
Sadly, there’s no information on Bel’Veth’s abilities or skills yet. However, Riot will undoubtedly reveal her kit soon enough, as Bel’Veth will release on June 9, 2022.
Coinciding with the unveiling of Bel’Veth is All That Will Ever Be, the latest cinematic teaser for League of Legends. Check it out for yourself below.

There’s certainly an eldritch vibe in this trailer. Or, at the very least, much less upbeat than other League of Legends cinematics. Not that you’d expect much else from the arrival of an otherworldly malevolent goddess, right? Maybe she just needs a hug.
